Notice of Data Security Incident
Nice Pak Products, Inc. and Professional Disposables International, Inc. (collectively, “Nice Pak”) understand the importance of protecting information. We are informing individuals that we recently identified and addressed a data security incident involving some of their information. This notice explains the incident, measures we have taken, and additional steps you may consider taking in response.
On June 15, 2023, Nice Pak identified unusual activity on certain devices in its network. Nice Pak immediately implemented its response protocols, took measures to contain the activity, and launched an investigation. A cybersecurity firm also was engaged. Nice Pak notified law enforcement and is supporting its investigation.
The evidence showed that between May 28, 2023 and June 15, 2023, an unauthorized actor viewed and obtained files stores on certain servers in our network. We conducted a careful review of those files and, on July 24, 2023, determined that one or more of the files contained information maintained for employment purposes. The files contained the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and health plan member numbers of current and former employees and dependents.
We are mailing letters to the individuals involved and arranged for eligible individuals to receive complimentary membership in Experian’s IdentityWorksTM credit and identity monitoring service. If you believe your information was involved in this incident but do not receive a letter by August 31, 2023, please call our dedicated call center for this incident at 833-627-2790, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
We take this incident very seriously. To help prevent something like this from happening again, we have taken and are taking steps to enhance our existing security measures.
