Davies as President and Chief Operating Officer.\u00a0 \u00a0Through this new position and appointment, PDI will continue to accelerate its evolution as an infection prevention solutions leader.\u00a0 In this role, Kent will be responsible for driving PDI\u2019s enterprise-wide commercial strategy and have overall responsibility for its operational and financial performance.<\/p>\n<div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>\u201cPDI is entering its next phase of growth as we continue to innovate our products and solutions to solve real customer challenges. Ultimately, our mission is to protect loved ones from getting sick, dying or suffering due to a preventable infection,\u201d said Zachary Julius, Chief Executive Officer, PDI. \u00a0\u201cKent joins PDI with significant experience and understanding of the infection prevention market. He has continually delivered growth and business performance as a mature and experienced multi-functional leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kent has over twenty-five years of successful operating, general management and leadership experience, including assignments with name brand multi-nationals such as 3M, Kimberly-Clark, and Stryker as well as several rapidly-growing, privately-owned, middle-market businesses. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of NYSE-listed Haemonetics Corporation with responsibility for its full P&amp;L and its broad portfolio of blood and plasma collection technologies.\u00a0 He has delivered growth through organic R&amp;D and successful business development and licensing initiatives while being disciplined about managing quality performance and continuous improvement in operations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have long-admired PDI as a leading brand and growing, scalable infection prevention platform. \u00a0I am thrilled to join PDI as it continues to invest in the development of its customer relationships, products, and people,\u201d said Kent Davies. \u201cI am excited about the potential of PDI and energized by the partnership with Zachary Julius\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Kent earned his BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley and his MBA in Marketing from the University of Minnesota.
