Awards Recognize and Promote Food Safety Best Practices<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

ORANGEBURG, NY \u2013 November 1, 2017 \u2013\u00a0Sani Professional, the food safety division of Professional Disposables International (PDI), and the Sani Professional Food Safety Advisory Council (SPFSAC) is calling for nominations in support of The Sani Awards\u2122<\/strong>. Now in its fourth year, The Sani Awards\u2122<\/strong> award program celebrates innovation and excellence in food safety within the foodservice industry. These awards recognize and promote best practices spotlighting food safety. These areas of focus are:<\/p>\n

  • Education\/Training<\/li>\n
  • Employee\/Customer Programs<\/li>\n
  • Guest Experience<\/li>\n
  • Leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Sani Awards\u2122<\/strong> award program welcomes nominations of foodservice establishments (5 unit minimum) as well as the individuals responsible for program implementation.<\/p>\n

    The nomination timeframe is November 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018. Winners will be announced in April, 2018 and trophies will be awarded at the Food Safety Summit Town Hall in Chicago, Illinois in May, 2018.<\/p>\n

    The Sani Awards\u2122<\/strong> award program includes 3 categories:<\/p>\n

    Category A: Outstanding food safety program innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Category B: Exceptional food safety education and\/or training program implementation<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Category C: Leadership in Food Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Overall award criteria for nominations include:<\/p>\n

    • 5 unit chain (or larger)<\/li>\n
    • programs that are six months post implementation<\/li>\n
    • measurable results\/improvements<\/li>\n
    • 5 years of demonstrated leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
