Learn more about Georgina Santiago Suero, Production Supervisor, and her experience as part of the Operations team.

Q. Can you tell us a little about your role at PDI?

Suero: I am a First Shift Production Supervisor. I’m in charge of the production floor where we package the products that go out to our customers. I work closely with the Liquid Department, Planning, and the Warehouse and Maintenance teams for all of us to meet our daily goal and get the employees to work in a safe manner.

Q. What new skills have you learned while working at PDI? How have you developed personally and professionally?

Suero: I have been working at PDI for 11 years and I have grown so much!. I have improved my people skills – how I manage the employees and the situations we face every day and I have learned how to really work as a team instead of an individual.

Q. What impact do you feel your function has had on the industry, particularly during COVID?

Suero: My position as a Supervisor has helped get quality products (on time) to all our customers, so we can help our fellow Americans to stay safe.

Q. What is your favorite memory from working at PDI?

Suero: Our Christmas dinner during each of the three shifts in the plant – this has always been one of my favorite and most fun activities because it creates the best memories, especially around the holiday season. And, with the Executive Team attending and expressing their gratitude for the plant staff, it makes it even more special!

Q. Can you provide some insights on your team dynamics / working relationships with colleagues?

Suero: My team and colleagues are all pleasant to work with. We have a great dynamic and relationship.  We like to have fun together but are very serious when it comes to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.   We all want to do the best we can to get the job done.

Q. How long have you been with PDI and why have you decided to stay with the company?

Suero: I have stayed with PDI for the last 11 years because the company helps their employees evolve and grow into different positions.

Q. How has the company evolved since you joined?

Suero: We have improved our methods, and have worked with a lot of big companies over the years to help expand our reach!
