Q. Can you tell us a little about your role at PDI?

Boldman: I am Senior Territory Sales Manager and a Field Sales Trainer (FST) [for the Healthcare division]. Being a FST is one of the most fulfilling things about my career at PDI.  It is an absolute pleasure, sharing any knowledge that I may have regarding PDI, our products and sales techniques, and seeing the successes as reps progress in their careers.  Quite honestly, I learn something new from each new sales rep I train, and apply it to my own sales technique.

Q. What does “Be the Difference” mean to you?

Boldman: What “Be the Difference” means to me, is a message of hope to truly make a positive impact on all of my customers, and to truly make a positive difference in their patients’ lives. We do this by being a valuable resource to those customers and through delivering quality products that truly perform to save lives and reduce infection rates.

Q. What impact do you feel your function has had on the industry, particularly during COVID?

Boldman: I feel that my function as a Trusted Advisor during the pandemic had a major impact to all of my customers.  PDI’s transparency, the ability to get products to “hot spot” breakout areas, and my constant communication with my customers helped to forge better relationships with my customers that they will never forget.  We were truly in this together, and working as one to beat back COVID, and reduce infection rates.

Q. Can you provide some insights on your team dynamics / working relationships with colleagues?

Boldman: I truly have a special bond with my team—Go Central Region (aka Purple Sock)! I communicate with my team members several times throughout the week—seeking advice on what’s working, and giving recommendations on what’s worked for me.  I owe a lot of my successes to my team mates.

Q. Have you participated in any charitable programs or events through PDI? If so, which ones and what impact did that program have on our local community?

Boldman: I absolutely love the charitable events organized through PDI.  I have participated in blood drives, food drives, and I personally helped a local animal shelter through donations of time, supplies and money.  This explains my 4 adopted dogs, 2 adopted cats and new addition of an African Grey parrot.

Q. Do you have any interesting hobbies or fun facts you could share?

Boldman: I am the proud father of 6 completely different and creative children—3 boys and 3 girls.  All make my life worth living and truly motivate me to start every day, and to make each day a successful one! I enjoy Mountain biking, fishing, camping, and binging true crime documentaries, with my lovely wife, Jen.

Q. How long have you been with PDI and why have you decided to stay with the company?

Boldman: I have been at PDI for 6 ½ years.  I have stayed with PDI because I believe in the mission to save lives through the prevention of infections through quality products.  I also love the people I work with, the positive work environment, work-life balance, and the transparency of management.  The main reason I stay is that I truly feel that I making a difference—being the difference.

Q. How has the company evolved since you joined?

Boldman: I believe PDI has become stronger, and more focused on our goals throughout my years here.  A lot of that has to do with the upper management conveying clear transparent direction on where we are going, with feasible plans to attain those goals. With the addition of new products,  Tru-D and our focus on EVS, I find myself getting excited about what the future holds for  myself and PDI!
