Q. Can you tell us a little about your role at PDI?

Beyers: As a Distribution Supervisor for the West Nyack Distribution Center (DC), I oversee the flow of orders and daily DC office functions.  I work closely with Transportation to ensure our carriers are performing well for us and our customers.  It is a balance of making sure we are working efficiently yet meeting expectations of customers both internal and external.

Q. What does “Be the Difference” mean to you? 

Beyers: “Be the Difference” for me is not settling with mediocre.  It is going a step above, a little more – the difference between being good or being great.  It’s making an impact, and the extra that will lets you stand out from the crowd.

Q. What has been your favorite project / program that you have been able to work on while at PDI? 

Beyers: My favorite program to work on while at PDI has been the Supply Chain Excellence program. Currently involved with existing ERP upgrades, Project Transform (new ERP system) and Ultraship/PCS TMS (transportation management system) project.

Q. What impact do you feel your function has had on the industry, particularly during COVID?

Beyers: My function was critical during the COVID pandemic. Getting product to the customer or end users was critical to ensure we were making a difference in the world by mitigating COVID-19 risks.  PDI shipped record numbers and exceeded internal expectations for sales in 2020.

Q. What is your favorite memory from working at PDI?

Beyers: The summer barbeques they would have outside the Orangeburg location.  It was a nice way to have associates on all levels get together.

Q. Do you have any interesting hobbies or fun facts you could share? (personal or work related)  

Beyers: I enjoy traveling, hand quilting and various types of crafting.

Q. How long have you been with PDI and why have you decided to stay with the company? 

Beyers: I’ve been with PDI for 22 years. I firmly believe in what PDI does and the passion the company has for saving lives.

Q. How has the company evolved since you joined?

Beyers: PDI has significantly grown since I joined.  The focus on PDI and healthcare products has really developed.
